The motif of vines, made of wavy stem-like lines, sometimes with leaf-like shapes extending from the stems,
often seen in ancient European architectural details and decorative patterns,
has been a familiar and popular motif all around the world since ancient times as well as today.
Rinceaux is inspired by such decorative patterns which have been drawn in simplified lines
that creates a sense of intricacy with an almost 'Japanese' sensibility.
The simple rounded form has a solid seed-like structure in its center
and from this seed, the pattern of vines extend and 'grows' forming the surface of the sphere.
